Economic dynamics by qualification of professionals
Since 1994 Schreck-Mieves offers seminars for training and education around railway tracks. Much has happened along the way of our training activities since the beginning and until today. We are faced with new challenges that are reflected in all aspects of our everyday life. Alone in the areas of transport and traffic, there are enormous developments. InnoTrans 2010 has emphasized this with new dimensions. The industry has been influenced by the images and messages around Stuttgart 21 and the recent incidents in the rail sector, but also by projects like the Gotthard railway project in Switzerland.
For these and many other projects to be realised, industry and economy need skilled professionals. According to the DIHK (the German chamber of commerce) we have a shortage of about 400,000 engineers, foremen and skilled workers, which implies an annual loss of around € 25 billion for Germany and about a 1% loss in economic growth.
These figures should arouse our attention. Our business, which is set up world wide through the conglomeration with Balfour Beatty, starts out there where training is required. We offer our know-how from within our entire company as part of the input to our seminars and functional training towards further qualification. Companies thus have the opportunity to participate in the recovery of Germany with trained staff and thereby to ensure a sustainable development for the future. Because ...
