International & Major Projects

The business unit International Operations is an integral part of Balfour Beatty Rail GmbH. Target markets are all international markets for electrification in which Balfour Beatty is not present with a subsidiary.

Working together with other business units of Balfour Beatty, International Operations especially pursues projects in which several facilities are co-ordinated by one general contractor. Within the scope of the co-ordination, facilities such as signal technology, telecommunication and other power supply facilities are undertaken as well. Building on the comprehensive range of products of Balfour Beatty Rail GmbH, International Operations offers systems and components worldwide. They include track systems, systems and components for contact lines, railway power supply and telecontrol technology. Regionally, International Operations focuses on the countries of the European Union and on its acceding countries. Additional opportunities for growth and follow-up orders await International Operations in eastern and Southeast Europe as well as in China.

International Operations is represented at the locations of Balfour Beatty Rail GmbH in Offenbach and Munich. It also has subsidiaries in Romania and China. In addition, International Operations also has project offices.
