Responsibility

A special priority of the railroad owners is the development of economically efficient infrastructure solutions protecting resources and the environment.

We meet these challenges head on!

All our projects are implemented with the protection of the environment in mind. The bulk of our activities, however, consists of assembly projects while the production of components plays a rather minor role. As a result, the environmental aspects of our actions are incomparable to those of the production industry. Our environmental policy clearly stands fast by the adherence to legal statutes, the development of our own production and assembly methods surpass the legal minimum by far.

The processes regarding the protection of the environment that are provided within the framework of our integrated management system offer long-term protection of resources and of the environment. Like many of our subsidiaries, we use the international standard DIN EN ISO 14001 as reference in Germany.

Currently, an integrated certification plan is being developed in co-operation with leaders of Balfour Beatty Rail. After the certification of our quality and occupational safety management systems, this measure will put us in a position to have our environmental protection actions certified by a non-partisan, accredited organisation as well.
